Dutch Delft tile painting workshops for kids

  • 22 May 2021
  • 1:00 PM
  • Outdoors at Washington Village (Pigtown) branch of the library, at 856 Washington Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21230

Saturday, May 22 at 1pm & 2pm EDT

Baltimore-Rotterdam committee member Marlieke van den Tillaar is hosting free outdoor workshops for kids at the Washington Village (Pigtown) branch of the Enoch Pratt Library!

Fun for kids young and old - from 5 to 15 years old! Join the Baltimore-Rotterdam Sister Cities Committee and learn how to decorate typical Dutch blue-and-white Delftware tiles. Delftware is a famous painting style from the Netherlands that became well-known around the world in the 17th century. Channel your creativity in this workshop and give these characteristic tiles a unique, personal touch. Kids will paint a tile that they can take home after the workshop.

Due to Covid precautions, there are limited spots available, so advance registration is necessary.
