Welcome to our annual DC Dutch/E-bike lovers bike ride in Washington DC.
This tour is for young and old. Families, friends, neighbors are all welcome. You will bike at your own pace, it is all about enjoying the scenery and being outside.
The total tour distance will be approximately 20 miles on flat terrain, at about half way, at (Hains point) we will provide water and Dutch treats. You can even bring your own picnic and take a longer break. If you are not biking or you would like to encourage our bikers, please join us for a picnic!
Toilets are at the beginning, middle, and end of the route.
The bike ride is organized by E-bike lovers. You need your bike (regular or E-bike) and helmet (required). You can rent a bike or use Capital bikeshare, or obtain a bike at any of the other commercially available bike rent places - make sure to arrange this in advance of the event!
The exact route will be shared closer to the event.
Bring a fully charged cell phone to follow the route. You can also print out the bike route. We will have advanced bikers who are familiar with the app and can assist you at the start of the tour, or you can follow one of the other bikers.
Don't forget to wear something orange so we can recognize each other!
If you have bike trouble during the ride, there will be a “bezemwagen”/ Sweep.
