Welcome to our annual DC Dutch/E-bike lovers bike ride in Washington DC.

This tour is for young and old. Families, friends, neighbors are all welcome. You will bike at your own pace, it is all about enjoying the scenery and being outside.

The total tour distance is about 20 miles on flat terrain, at about half way, at (Hains point) we will provide water and Dutch treats. You can even bring your own picnic and take a longer break. Toilets are at the beginning, middle, and end of the route. Various monuments can be seen during this route (the Capitol, the municipal Fish Market, the Lincoln Memorial, the Nationals ballpark stadium, the Titanic memorial, and the new Frederick Douglas bridge)

You need your bike (regular or E-bike) and helmet (required). You can rent a bike or use Capital bikeshare (check closest to the starting point), or obtain a bike at any of the other commercially available bike rent places - make sure you arrange this in advance of the event!

Bring a fully charged cell phone to follow the route. You can also print out the bike route. We will have advanced bikers who are familiar with the app and can assist you at the start of the tour, or you can follow one of the other bikers.

Though we bring some water and snacks, make sure you bring some of your own snack/food for a picnic during the tour.

Don't forget to wear something orange so we can recognize each other!

If you have bike trouble during the ride, there will be a “bezemwagen”/ Sweep.
